One day at time....The day after confession...

Here we are, the day after confession.

Compared to other recent days I would consider today a good day. Why? I actually worked out today. Completed day 1 of week 1 of the C25K and did about 10 solid minutes of kickboxing.

My food choices were great until after I finished working out this morning. 3 donuts and 1/2 cup of ice cream. Baby steps.... This is an improvement from days past.

I have decided to track my food, exercise and daily nutrition with MyFitnessPal and Fitbit. The Fitbit is charging at the moment.

I will make my weigh in days Monday. I started today at 250. That is the number to reduce. Slowly working to get back into the good old habits.

Today I have consumed 1665 calories of food and burned 360 from exercise. Tomorrow I work a little harder on the calorie intake and major reduction of the junk food.

Have to find healthier ways to satisfy that sweet tooth.

So, I carry on.....Good night, sweet dreams, positive thoughts. I got this! I can do this!

  1. Chobani Flips are my sweet tooth thing... when I'm craving, those usually snap me out of it.

Speaking of donuts, just reading that word made my mouth water.

  2. I'm a sucker for donuts as well. Absolutely love them. When I'm in a sugar kick, I almost always have to detox my way out. I make myself have no sugar or even fake sugar (sweetener) for 1-3 days, depending. You might not have the same issue, but I can't just tell myself to eat " in moderation".

  3. Hi Chris, Well, it took me several years to figure out how to eat in a way to keep a good weight. So I felt like I've been in this situation at some time in my life, probably many times. I think one huge thing that helped me was to join TOPS and to be accountable to others in the group each week. I've been in TOPS almost 3 years now. Some weeks, I feel strong on my own, but other weeks, I am so much better because of my TOPS friends supporting me. TOPS is very affordable, one year is about the price of one month of Weight Watchers.

All the the stress you are going through, somehow, I think you have to quit laying that so heavily on your shoulders. All you can do is your best. Other people intervene, for good or bad, in their own way. We can only be proud of how we handle our own part in all of the things happening. If you do your part well, but things still go wrong, well, that happens and you shouldn't blame yourself. <--Perhaps this is obvious, but I used to think I caused problems more than I actually did. Or didn't fix as many problems as I should have. :-)

  4. Thank you for all the great advice! I will look into the Chobani Flips and the detox! And into TOPS! I have not heard of that group but I think that would be a great group to find!
