Mad Monday Weigh in & Weekend, from fabulous to fubar....

It's been a weekend. But lets go from good to bad and then back to good. Just so I don't start crying again.
today's weight 210.8....loss of 2.4 lbs. YAY!!! That no eating after 8 is working!!

So my totals are:
64.0 lbs down since 8/22/12!
49.4 lbs down since surgery on 10/15/12!
Officially .8 lbs shy of my 1/2 way point!!
I didn't realize I haven't blogged since Thursday. So....
Friday was a run day. It was my second attempt at a 5K. I ran on the treadmill at work and I did it!!! 3.13 miles! It took me 53 minutes but I did it none the less!! Totally siked about that! After work the hub and I went to dinner and then to the Improv for a late night show. Food was a little off but not horrible. And I didn't drink much of anything.
Saturday was a rest day. We took the bikes out to run a few errands. It was a nice day but a tad chilly. I'm getting wimpy!
Then my daughter and I went to the Paint Cellar with a few friends! It was so fun! I haven't painted in years! About 25 of them! I love painting tho!
The bathroom there was so cool! It had paintings with inspirational sayings all of the walls and on a small table.

And I fit in a normal size apron and didn't have to opt for the extra long stings!!
This is my finished painting! Needs a little work but I don't think its too bad for my first time in
25 years! Our group did a great job!
OK fast forward to the fubar part of the weekend....Sunday I dropped my daughters off at Kohl's while I went to my massage so they wouldn't be bored. They needed a few things so they were looking around and I met them inside to pay when I was finished. As we were leaving we were met by the security guard. One of my daughters was caught shoplifting. OMG!!!! I won't get into it, but she is lucky she is alive, I was so upset! I totally went off on her. I can't believe it. So after my husband told me to knock it off I left! Sped off in my car to the bar with tears streaming down my face. I got totally shitfaced! And I smoked 3 cigarettes. Old faithful..... I didn't turn to food. Mainly because there was no way it was going to go down. So we now have alcohol, marijuana & theft all out of the way over the last 3 years. I've got nothing left.....SO now I have to go to court with her probably twice and I have to go to court for the custody battle over my nephew too. On top of the fact that I am losing my job on the 31st. I'm so stressed out!!
OK enough of that. Rewind to yesterday morning and the last bit of good news! Yesterday (Sunday) was a run day! It was so nice out so I ran outside! And I have completed my 2nd 5K!!! 3.13 miles! WOO HOO!!!
Today has been OK. I took they day off for doctors appointments. Food is a little off and so is my water intake. But I am exhausted from not sleeping at all last night. So to you, good night! Thanks for stopping by. I have to get back to reading your blogs. I fell way behind this weekend.
Be safe! ~Chris~

  1. Oh my, it sounds like you've got a lot of stress going on. BUT - I loved your painting and I am so proud of you for the 5k! Glad that you didn't turn to food but....well, you know about the drinking. :P Still, you're putting one foot in front of the other and that's what counts.

  2. Wow...roller coaster indeed! You do so many fun and interesting things - I thought the painting seems like such a neat thing to do - I want to take my 10 year old to do one of those ceramic painting things, now that I finally know where the studio is!! But I would love to do more "crafty" things like this if I knew about them! And congratulations on the great weight loss, and all the hard work you have done to make it happen - and your 2nd 5K!! I'm really sorry about the family stress on top of job stress - try to keep taking care of yourself and your health - you need to be your best self to manage all of that for sure.

  3. Hi Chris! Remember the 3 day rule: everything seems better in 3 days--it's kind of the human attention span or something like that. :D

    The picture is pretty!

    :-) Marion

  4. Awesome loss this week. sorry that things kinda spiraled out of control.
i really hope things get better and soon.

  5. Awesome loss and gorgeous painting...I am so sorry about the shoplifting..I am sending big hugs your way..take it one day at a will get thru this!

  6. So sorry for your teen trouble. Please understand that I know this stuff happens. My niece was caught at 14 and then pregnant by 17. It is so hard to help them when they are sure they know everything. Hang in there. I will say a prayer for you to have peace even during this stressful time.

  7. It sounds like you really have a lot going on. Teen years are a real challenge for a mom.
Great job on the 5ks. I hear that running is a real great stress reducer once you find your groove.

  8. What a little stink! I remember getting caught shoplifting when I was about 11. It was just hair stuff from the grocery so I never had to go to court or anything... My daughter is just about to turn 13 so I know I have her ages of rebellion coming up... I hope your daughter understands how hurt you are and how serious shoplifting is. So sorry for you... BUT great run and great weigh in!!!

  9. Great loss...I'm sorry for the rest of your shitty weekend, but it will get better. Goodness I think my mom would've beat me to death way back when...

  10. I did my fair share of shoplifting when I was a teenager, but I stopped cold turkey when I was 18 and never did it again. Here's hoping your daughter's phase is just a phase, and that she gets through it even earlier than I did. I'm so sorry for the stress, and proud of you for having such a great loss with everything that is going on.
