Mad Monday Weigh In & M'lis Body Wrap

Today's weigh in....213.6....loss of 1.6 lbs!!! YAY!!! Finally!
So my totals are:
61.2 lbs down since 8/22/12!
46.6 lbs down since surgery on 10/15/12!

Today's workout consisted of W8D2 of the C25K, W1D2 of the C25K and swimming for 1/2 hour. I ran 28 solid minutes again today! YAY! If everything goes as planned I will finish the C25K program Wednesday and actually the entire 5K Saturday. It is supposed to be beautiful here. I know I will be able to do 30 full minutes. 3 miles would be about 15 minutes longer than that I think. I will get there! I know I will! As of today I have gone 58.18 miles since I started this 2 1/2 months ago!

So far my 2 girls and 2 of their friends are going to be doing the Color Vibe 5K with me, my mom and her boyfriend may be joining and possibly a few others. There could be a good crowd of us :) When I registered us for the run I purchased each of us a pair of socks and 5 color packets. Not sure what those are for. But it sounded fun, Does anyone know? I am assuming it is for us to throw at each other when we are done.

I am looking forward to it!

Last night I decided to go with the girls to the tennis courts and play tennis with them. I have never played a day of tennis in my life. They are all on the Varsity tennis team, they said I did great and they were surprised I've never played before. HAHA! Anyway, I was running after a ball and my feet got all tangled up together and I went down, my poor daughters were panicked!  Well, when I went down my hand got caught in a weird position and my fingers bent a funny way and made a funny sound. Boy they hurt! And they are swollen and turning a nice purple color, I can move them though so I think they are just sprained. My daughter spoke to her sports medicine teacher and he said stabilize the fingers and ice it, So that's what I am doing. The swelling is finally going down but it does hurt to move them a bit. I still can't get my rings on those two fingers.
At least I didn't break a nail LOL.

Yesterday, I had my second M'lis body contouring wrap. I have always been skeptical of these types of things because it always seems to me that you lose water and then it all comes back once you are hydrated. And, I know there is no quick fix, but I am trying to find something to help tighten the skin as I lose the weight. This wrap claims to be permanent. It states that there is no weight loss only inch loss, and your weight will stay the same.

Well so far with this wrap I do not sweat at all. They rub this pumice cream all over my body first and wipe that of and then put this minty cream all over that turns my skin bright, bright red and they wrap me in saran wrap basically. It is a stronger plastic wrap. They get it pretty tight. According to the measurements, I lost 13 total inches the first time, and 6 inches this second time around..
I do have to say, I think I see a difference in my stomach and my husband says that back of my legs look "less mushy" LOL. He means the cellulite looks smoother. And I do think when I look in the mirror the cellulite looks to be diminishing. I can't tell any difference in my clothes because they are already baggy. They do recommend you do a series of the wraps of course for best results. I did schedule a 3rd wrap. I plan on getting a total of 6 right now. My next visit is in 2 weeks. They are expense but like the hubby says, its cheaper than surgery and if it works great! So we will see, I am still not completely sold, but I do think I am noticing a difference.

So here's to hoping!!

Yesterday the girls and I went to the mall so they could look for dresses while I went for my body wrap. My oldest has her permit, and I let her drive home, she did really well! But I was SO scared. Not sure why, but I was really nervous and I am never like that. When we got out of the car I was breathing sighs of relief! Must be a mother thing!

It is snowing yet again here in Colorado. It isn't amounting to anything, but the temperature dropped like 25 degrees today and it is supposed to continue to tomorrow. I so want the warmer weather to come and stay!

Anyway, off to bed I think! Have a great night everyone and thanks again for stopping by!

  4. Yippee on the loss. The scale is loving you!

Sorry about the fall but becoming active means you will sometimes get hurt- it is sort of bad-ass.

Love the nails. I have a french right not too- glad the nails are all okay!

  5. at least you didn't break a nail, you are too funny!!

I did a series of wraps before I did my boudoir pictures. I think the skills of the photographer helped more than the wraps but it didn't hurt my confidence any.

  6. Ouch! The finger injury sounds painful. I have been suffering from tendinitis in my wrist, and it's weird how many things I can't do that I didn't even realize I used that hand for. Fastening a bra strap, for instance, has become very tricky. So I hope they heal soon.

    Congrats on your great weigh-in!

It's still snowing here, at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

    1. Hi Karla, they claim it is permanent loss and not water loss. I really don't sweat at all during the wraps. My skin is definately soft. Supposedly these breakdown the fat tissue and your body disposes of it. Something with stimulating the lymphatic system.
